When we started our company, Assurity Technologies, in 2004, my business partner and I had a vision for a software product with an immediate market opportunity. When considering our options for development, we decided to outsource development principally because the cost of onshore development was prohibitive. Selecting a partner was the next challenge. Using Google as our research tool, we identified several firms ranging in size, all located in India. We selected Clarion Technologies principally on personalities. We trusted the management team, we liked their methodology, and we felt their expertise would lend value to our business beyond the code they produced. Clarion has exceeded all of our expectations.

We’ve been working with Clarion now for over two years. They’ve seen us grow from a start-up consisting of two people, to the successful launch of our product, through to the acquisition of our company by a larger publicly traded organization. In just over two years, our product is now used by over 30 large multinational companies to manage compliance requirements around the account reconciliation function, providing the proof required to support the executive attestation requirement under Sarbanes-Oxley.

One of the largest problems in the United States is managing information within our complex healthcare system. EnableComp provides business solutions for major hospitals and physicians who deliver our healthcare services. 1.Technical Competence: Through our work with Clarion we have worked with a number of different Developers, Programmers, and Managers within Clarion. We must unequivocally say that every person we worked with at Clarion is extremely technically competent, responsive, and has given us excellent support. Today, if Clarion ever informs us they would like to move our work to another Developer we have no worries whatsoever. We know that we will be working with a very competent person.

2.Responsiveness to Requests/Needs: Whenever we request work from Clarion, the work is done almost immediately. Due to time zone constraints we sometimes can not work directly with Clarion every day. However, we know we can send Clarion an E-Mail with a critical item when we leave the office at night and when we arrive the next day the work will be done and ready for review. Clarion’s responsiveness is excellent.

In summary, Vacation Planners is extremely happy with Clarion Technologies and all the work Clarion has done for us. We are very happy customers.

Clarion assigns a part-time project manager, part-time UI person, and part-time QA person to our project. This has worked out well in that we received these individual skill sets as part of our developer fee, without having to pay separately for full-time people for each one.

We are counting on this product development team to meet our long term needs as well. As we add new customers, there will be new functionality and new challenges. We highly recommend this group for their professionalism and responsiveness."

As background, our company is a property management and rental company on the island of Culebra, Puerto Rico. Up until I was referred to Ankur our business was all managed on paper.

For responsiveness, when you ask for things to get done and set priorities, Clarion responds immediately. There is a little bit of a time difference but if you send an E-Mail of things you'd like done (or use a Project Management system such as Mantis to manage your work - which is a system I really like) one afternoon, you will most likely come in the next morning and see much, if not all (depending on the scope of course), of it done.

As we developed our reservation system and reflected on the experience we went through trying to find a reservation system on the market, we realized that we had developed a very innovative product with Clarion. Therefore, we decided to start selling our reservation system on the market and compete with all the sub-standard, expensive reservation systems we found in our initial search.

Therefore, we are now working to transition from a small Property Management company on Culebra to perhaps an Internet company offering our reservation system across the world. This is something we would have NEVER even considered or thought about before working with Clarion.
