General Questions
How does a two week, trial period work?
The trial period starts when a programmer begins working for you on a full-time basis. On completing the first two weeks, you evaluate both
our performance and your overall experience of working with the company.
If you are unsatisfied, tell us and we will not charge you for the initial two weeks.
This is no risk involved in building your development team. If you are happy with the results, you will have a tried and tested team you can always rely on. You will never have to worry about filling these roles again.
NB: The trial period does not cover the System Analysis service.
What is the definition of a long-term contract?
We aim to work with clients for at least six months. After this initial period, customers normally choose to
stay put with us for years rather than months.
What happens if we are unable to commit to a six month contract?
You should be reasonably certain there is at least six months work to follow, but you only have to provide two weeks notice if your circumstances change.
Are you willing to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA)?
Yes, it is also part of our standard agreement. We sign NDAs with all our clients.
What is the best way to communicate with you?
We use email, Instant Messengers (MSN, Yahoo, AIM), Skype and the telephone.
Do you have samples of your work?
Yes, please email
with your request for samples.
How can I monitor the progress of my projects?
We provide three channels which give you clear, project progress reports in various levels of detail:
1. Timesheet – Developers complete detailed timesheets on a daily basis and email them to you. Email and ask for a sample timesheet.
2. Blog – Each developer prepares a synopsis at the end of every day. They outline their activities and provide detailed records on various decisions taken. For example, if the developer had to choose from two different options while coding, he makes a note of the option selected, along with the reasoning behind his decision. This information enables you to see the thought pattern of the programmer and gives you the opportunity to keep his direction aligned with yours.
3. On-line Project Management Tool – Our developers built this tool to provide customers with a snapshot of project progress at any given time. Email and ask for an online demonstration.
How soon can I have a vEmployee programmer?
We prefer a three week lead time, however, if you have an urgent requirement, please send an email or call one of our offices.
Would you provide me with an effort and cost estimate?
We do not work on a fixed-cost basis. Based on your requirements, we can give you a rough estimate (or "guesstimate" as we call it). But we work strictly on time-and-material basis. Working with us is like hiring a fulltime employee.
What size is your company?
200 plus employees.
Three development centers in India at Pune,
Banglore and Ahmedabad.
